The Nicephore Niepce Museum is dedicated to photography, its history, its practice and its uses.
Through original images and cameras,
including some unique collections, the museum asks questions about the imagination, motivation and needs which have shaped and continue to shape photography and its processes, from the inventor to a wide public, from family albums to contemporary art.
Films, consoles and interactive projections provide a complement to the collections on display.
The annual temporary exhibitions allow the opportunity to learn about contemporary photography, the museum collections and those of other renowned international institutions.
